Investment Canada Ruling...

Very interesting ruling about the Progress Energy deal. Could be some dumping of Avenex stock over this too. This week could be an excellent time to accumulate move at firesale prices...

Although I am not a Progress Energy shareholder, nor have I ever been, I do think that tomorrow I maybe alot poorer. Having said that, I do believe that the Canadian Government, my government, did the right thing... We have to stop as a country, giving our resources away. Some will say that we need the foreign investment to develop our resources. I say that we have lots of investment dollars ...more

this progress/petronas move may be more for the sake of china. this may be the government's way to send a mesasge to china - "dont play hardball in our negotiations with nexen or else we'll shut you down like we (temporarily) did Progress.
