Beach Encounters Gas in Thylungra-2 Well, Queensland

Beach Energy has encountered gas in Thylungra-2 well in PL184, located in the Cooper Basin, Queensland. The well is located approximately 470m west of Thylungra-1 well and 50 km west of the Bodalla South oil field.

The well targeted oil in the Hutton Sandstone, and the Toolachee and Patchawarra formations provided secondary gas targets. The well, drilled to a total depth of 2,603m, has intersected approximately 17m of net gas pay across the Toolachee and Patchawarra formations. Minor oil shows were recorded in the basal Birkhead Formation....
