how many counter offers can happen

can the two offers keep going up an up back an forth when does or could it stop is it written that at some point norant has to except?

pretty sure I read somewhere that a counter offer can be made by the end of this week or noront is accepting the current offer

Thats correct Justcray12, Noront has now accepted Wyloo's bid to be superior to BHP's 55 cent bid and now BHP has 5 business days to counter.this is a quote from Wyloo's press release " EXPECTED TIMING Completion of the Wyloo Offer is expected to occur in December 2021. If there is a 3rd bid or more and if I were a bidder I would wait till the last possible moment to add it to the pile! I'm sure that's what other companies do to flush out other competitors. It's like an auction, last possible moment to add a higher bid at the last second!

yes but at some point the last biddr might be the one just before you and it might be signed so when is the last moment lol.

Thats definitely could be the case ET, but keep in mind there is no perverbial last second winner, because there is the 5 business day thing for the other companies to respond as well as for Noront to have time to "deem" the bid as superior to the previous bid.

Yes.. in an auction it's final. But a bid in a takeover it is all strategically motivated. The flush out and the who blinks first! But the bottom line is who is willing to fork out the cash. They all want this as low as possible! The games afoot already we do know that and it just may get more interesting if, if a weasel on the sideline is going to be a 3 bidder!  We all know the BHP is ...more
