Buy out

Hi Folks, I've been a long time holder, bought in around 8 years ago and have been holding/hoarding since. I've also been lurking this board for a while and finally decided to join up.

I've seen a lot of you arguing whether a buyout is coming or not - that long holds not being willing to settle for anything less than $0.20, with others saying that can never happen because of how many shares kwg has out here; the cost would be greater than the buyout of Noront, which wouldn't be worth it to anyone.

I think I'm on team buyout though, as the price seems to be suppressed at .03. If someone is looking to force a buyout wouldn't they just keep squirrelling away as many shares as possible at .03, then attempt a buyout once they've accumulated enough? 500 million shares at an average of.03 is only $15mill. That would mean offering a share price of .20-.40 would only cost $100-$200mill to eat up the majority of common shares, well under the $650mill paid for Noront. I'm sure there are other strategies to bring the cost down for said mystery buyer too, but it would make a buyout more likely as many of the holders would be more happy to release their shares for a price of .30+.

This is fast math and I'm only counting common shares, but does this make sense? Am I missing something here? I'm wondering if this could be a potential scenario happening.

Wow Notabot1213......A great Introduction! I am of the opinion that an Offer/Buyout is on the near horizon. The question then becomes, who, and why? Again IMHO, the primary reason is Consolidation. Who wants to consolidate? The one with claim to the largest  PROVEN RESOURCES in the target area. The one with 100% ownership of the 'first to be developed' mine in the ROF: EN ...more

You appear to be angry about my post, when I'm simply asking a question to get some perspective (which you haven't provided). I'm a KWG supporter, otherwise I would have taken the money and ran at .10. I would love to see them succeed and really be in for the long haul, but what I want and what is reality may be in opposition. Just throwing out ideas as to why the price won't budge ...more

I agree it seems like a buyout is coming. Insiders are loading up on shares every chance they can get, and not at small amounts either. That's always a good sign. If an entity buys more than 10% of the company they'd have to declare ownership as far as I know. I don't think someone can buy 500 million shares on the sly without risking legal action. I don't know what KWG will sell ...more
