Let's say this is true and Nextleaf did not send it friends and fans to go and buy out the brand for adversitising purposes who knows this might  turn out to be a 200 million dollar cannabis brand  In the early day Nextleaf was projected to earn 200 million a year

Lmao your all still living in this fantasy world. NL does not operate inside a bubble. There will be no divergence. The only way this thing will move is a sector wide bullrun, and as Sally already said, we got some bad news for you. I hope for the longy's here you see a jump and get out with some profit, but even sales of GG will mean nothing. Market is saturated and losing steam, canadian ...more

@trstaph, agreed the vape market is saturated, take a look through https://www.bccannabisstores.com/ I've yet to find a 1G cartridge at nextleafs price points. Nextleaf is showing themselves as a low cost supplier of premium Extracts. Let's see how much of the saturated market share they acquire.

Wrong again TrstAph. Not true that all companies in the sector will sink or swim altogether, whatever each company's merits. Numerous posts on this board have shown that the industry as a whole is growing. And that the problem is too many money-loosing companies over-supplying the market with expensive bad quality products unable to compete with the illegal market (you got this part right ...more

Offering a lower price point potentially changes things. If consumers like GG's products then for competitors to compete and lower their prices they would be eroding their profit margins. This is an economic moat as long as others cannot match the lower cost of production. We will need to somehow keep an eye on how sales are going at retail stores.
Comment by BurlapSack on Sep 12, 2021 10:44am
This could also be an introductory pricing strategy to attempt to pull customers from other brands. I wouldn't touch this until one more quarter of proven sales. The sector isn't going anywhere and I highly doubt that a no-name player like NL is going to suddenly fly because of this. Wait and see is the best approach for now. If you're waiting on a buyout, you're doing this wrong ...more

If Nextleaf is turning a profit at $30 cartidges then the IP has been proven. Their competitive advantage on a small scale is great, the fact that it's purposely designed to scale up makes it desireable to larger players.  There is a sizeable community of cannabis snobs who think paying +$50 for a cartridge means better product. As Pure Sunfarms exposed, that group is completely dwarfed ...more
