A SIFCA affiliate since 1997, PALMCI resulted from the privatization of former State-owned company Palmindustrie, from which it retained many assets. PALMCI manages oil palm plantations and produces both crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel oil. It sells most of its yearly CPO output of about 280,000 tons to Sania. With more than 7,000 employees and a network of 6 Integrated Agro Centres, PALMCI further owns 10 plants and 40,000 Ha of industrial plantations. It supervises 28,000 independent out growers who collectively own 145,000 Ha of private plantations. Its authorised capital is 20 billion FCFA.
