Aster Gardens seniors living community deploys AI COVID-19 scanner to keep residents safe
Sherwood Park, Alberta - Optima Living’s Aster Gardens today became among the first in Canada to install technology that can identify COVID-19 symptoms in less than two seconds with a 98% accuracy rate.
The “Safe Entry Stations” artificial intelligence-based thermal scanner operates similarly to a walk-through airport metal detector. When residents, employees, and visitors enter Aster Gardens, a no-touch temperature reading, and a facial scan are taken to detect COVID symptoms as well as other infectious diseases and viruses.

Here’s some hilites from that interview:

(0:14) These scanners are looking for COVID symptoms. This could be the near future for seniors living in Canada. “They come out, they’re scanned within two seconds, it indicates yes or no, and in they can come into the building”. A thermal scanner at the entrance flagging possible symptoms of infectious disease. “It’s still a high risk for them (residents, staff, and visitors), it’s still not safe for them, if we can make this environment safer for them so they can live their life, absolutely it’s the right thing to do”.

(0:46) initially to screen for drug and alcohol impairment but when the pandemic hit, pro-sports teams began using them for COVID symptoms. Aster Gardens is the first in Canada to put one in a seniors home. “It gives the community plus the residents here the extra little, ok, they’re going to catch it before we get to see the people”. This resident says she and her husband haven’t seen her kids who live outside Alberta since the pandemic began. “It’s been really hard but you do what you have to”. In fact, the residents actually voted down an option to allow indoor social visits recently, even though provincial rules allow up to four contacts but she says this new scanner will make a big difference. “Q: it makes you feel safer?” “A: oh yes, absolutely”.

(1:53) Connectus is expanding the devices in seniors home across Western Canada which scan for any infectious disease symptoms, not just COVID.

Should we be expecting some pro-sports teams (in the NHL?) to be using Predictmedix technology when the new season starts in the fall???
That would be fantastic :)

India has been hit hard with Covid recently.   Hasn't PMED been doing testing of the AI in India for almost a year (or more) now?  Huge protential market.   Any contracts....any revenues....any customers?   They could be showing everyone what the testing is showing.....right?  Yet millions of potential $$$ missed.    Why? Doesn't PMED have a huge partner in India?....with PMED test machines?   Yet no one wants PMED's machines???   Even the partner won't pay???   A partner that should know if the AI works?   No revenues or contracts in a country with a huge crisis?   Why not? Badog

badog222 there is absolutely no pleasing you ... but that's no wonder, when you work for a competing company (Cannabix Technologies) you've got to sling all the stones and mud you can at the enemy. Predictmedix's last 3 PRs were all revenue contracts and 2 of them were for 6 figure$ and 2 year terms - that's a great endorsement that customers want and are paying for their  ...more

Chrispi....If PMED discovered a cure for cancer????   LOL I guess I would cheer for the end of suffering and for my wealth as I do hold some shares of PMED in case they ever do discover AI that does more than test for temperature/fever and detect a cough or sneeze.   Anyone could do that. Badog
