The trial just concluded with the final 2 closing statements today coming from counsels for AMC Mining Iberia (GM subsidiary) and Junta De Andalucia.
These and the final three statements yesterday, which included counsel for Grupo Mexico, offered no counter arguments to the incriminating evidence. They attacked Emerita, which given they are not on trial here, seemed like yet another diversion tactic. All theatrics with no substance.
All defendants were present and given the opportunity to close with a few words. Three took advantage of this and could hardly hold back the tears.
The trial could not have gone better for Emerita imo.
Now the wait for the verdict!
