Considering a major drone manufacturer is already flying autonomous drones with vSLAM (no Sparc required) why would anyone go backwards and use an older, less versatile algo from 2008?

SPAI does not mean no detection
Drones are detected by radar and eye sight, just because it doesn't have a GPS receiver (which it would probably need anyways for initial coordinates before entering a GPS denied zone) a drone
