CALLINAN ANNOUNCES FIRST DIVIDEND

The board of directors of Callinan Royalties Corp. declared on Aug. 09, 2011, an inaugural quarterly dividend of two cents per common share on Sept. 15, 2011, to the holders of the company's outstanding common shares as of the close of business on the record date of Sept. 1, 2011.

This board of directors has approved this initial dividend in recognition of the strong financial condition of Callinan Royalties.

Key dates with respect to the dividend

Common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange on an ex dividend basis:   Sept. 1, 2011

Record date for the dividend:  Sept. 1, 2011

Common share dividend payment date:  Sept. 15, 2011

The dates set out above are based on the directors' current expectations and may be subject to change. If any of the dates should change, the revised dates will be notified by press release and will be available on the company website.

Well, CAA is my first Venture stock to initiate a dividend.  Roland is starting off with a great NR for investors.  Much better than the CNX spinoff, which went looking for more cash and dilution right off the bat.  Thanks Mr Butler, this has been an excellent investment for me.  I wonder what is next.

A regular quarterly dividend is great news and consistent with the quality of management model that Rollie brings to the table.Rollie continues to buy shares in the open market which is also very good news.Copper prices are once again starting to recover from the summmer doldrums and is once again above $4.
