JE RESULTS

JE is flying after results which bodes well for Crius.

Hmmmmm, turned into a dead cat bounce. I believe this will continue until the end of FEB when it will either take off or become a waterfall.

As usual it was #79 and ANON dominating the selling towards end which pulled it back. This may fall further till NCIB commences. Company will have the capacity to buy 4.4 million shares which should make a difference. Rest of the market is in correction mode which is also responsible for the pullback. JE results do have a bearing on Crius as business is exactly the same. It may be good idea to ...more

I agree. The mainstream talking heads are trying very hard to promote a sell off.  IMHO comparing Crius to JE is difficult. They do have essentially the same business model but JE has a LOT more debt and IMHO has to many units on the market which dillutes their trust's units to the detriment of their unit holders.  I'm not a great supporter of stock/unit buybacks but in the ...more

deisman, I totally agree with your analysis. As far as NCIB is concerned, it is priority two on their list which I totally agree to. NCIB is not a great idea as it may affect the volume but under the circumstances it is a good option. I guess management is also suspectng manipulation. It can not be a coincidence that 70% of the sell orders are by #79 and ANON over last six months. CIBC did not ...more

Sukhi: not sure that I follow you. Is your hypothesis that JE may be looking at KWH add an m&a target with some sort of share deal in mind? If so, I had the same thought following the JE result.

campst. Yes. But Crius may not be interested. I guess announcement of NCIB is a signal. Otherwise it does not make sense because on earlier occasions management has been trying to increase the float.    Boss lady at JE is very manipulative and so are her billionaire cronies. These  people have lost millions in their romance with JE over last four years.

If all they want to do is increase the share price, a consolidation would be more effective. NCIB just holds up the bottom somewhat.

Stock consolidation is the "kiss of death" on the market. It sends the wrong signali, implying that they can't continue to pay the distributions for one.  In this particular case, NCIB shows strength as well as making for higher bottoms and maybe decreasing volatility as well.
