Turn Around Story.....

For last one year this trust has got messed for various reasons. Main being the massive manipulation by a group of people or brokerages through #79 and #1. Solar, legal expenses and weather compounded the problem. Bought deal participants look like fools to be buying at $8.43 and $9.80. Anyways they made money in their fees. Their unsuspecting clients have to bear the burden of  almost $30 million in losses. With Stop Losses kicking in now and then and panic selling also contributed to the downfall.

The unit price is likely to stagnate or slip further for next couple of quarters. They have the right idea i.e. getting rid of the solar business and going for higher margin customers. Their Q1 results were not bad despite the severe winter in certain parts. They are managing their affairs better than JE.

Insider buying gave some hope about managements involvement. hey had also bought over $8.40 a few years ago.

Monstrous yield may be a danger signal for some investors. Though it has happened before in 2014.

Business has grown in size eand there is no immediate tthreat to the investment.

Management is agile and capable of turning this thing around.

Time will tell.

Not sure that you will find Crius in this but I doubt it: Hi there -  I don't know what the weather's been like where you're at, but we've been seeing highs of over 100 here in South Dakota. We've been running our air conditioner non-stop. There are more than 450 energy companies traded on public markets and you know at least one of them is going to ...more

Wind power -- I would call it a dose of reality and I'm sure our environmentalists would call it all untrue. It is a lengthy but interesting read: https://principia-scientific.org/a-problem-with-wind-power/

120 reads vs 60 reads -- is that an indication of where the interest is? Just asking.

There is a very high probability that this trust may have to cut its distributions in the next quarter if cash flow continues to fall.

Distr has been approved at present level by the board for this year. Enjoy the 11%(almost) return. It will recover.

Sukhi, I agree, it will recover.  Right now manipulation is very evident. WHY???? Who is going to profit from it in a big way??? One thing I noticed yesterday. I sold 5k units to see how long they would last around 10am.  I put in my sell order and in the 45 seconds it took to check the status of the trade, it had all been snapped up at my ask price.  There is NO ...more

In hindsight, I find that short article did have some valid points which were proved by subsequent unfolding of events. This type of business has certain limitations which have to be accepted. JE has more than demonstrated the difficulties over last10 years.  I do not think Crius will again reach old highs. There were and are other opportunities to be taken advantage of. I have reduced my ...more

Sukhi, In hindsight you, myself and others had trust in untrustworthy management.  I still feel the day they brought in the ex JE manager was the beginning of the shenanigans.  I didn't listen to my own alarms. Rather I ignored them because I felt it may just have been an emotional reaction.  I picked up the 5K I sold today a bit lower than what I sold it for.  ...more

Thanks, deisman. I will still be watching as my reduced holdings are also heavy. I am dreading another bought deal at a lower unit price. They have been doing it for last threee years.
