Dividend

According to my calculations we should be getting $.053 a share on May 15 th...

Correct.   .053179 per share   goes ex dividend April 27 payable May 15.

Ufoolme..I find you to be the most reliable and intelligent person here...Thank u!  Ques. Why would Drys issue another dividend when they just payed one last month?isnt it usually done quarterly! My guess is that they want to show the market that they are financially viable and trying to reward the shareholders and compensat many, though partially, for their extreme losses with the stock ...more

This was a NEW dividend policy, only announced in March of 2017, and they paid a dividend for Q4 2016 to shareholders of record March 15.  The current dividend is the Q1 dividend for period ending March 31, 2017, to shareholders of record May 1, 2017.

Yes but I never heard of a company issuing a div. one month after they just paid one.. They could have easily said that tjphe paymount would July 1 st...So why did they rush the point?

Who knows, but could be that they wanted to boost the share price just prior to their new issue.

Ufool........last week there were 47 million shares outstanding.....Today there are something like 54.9 million shares?? Where did the extra shares come from .......Now the dividend is diluted by about 1 cent per share...I don't understand?
