ENF is trading at almost $1 premium to the buyout. Any news that Enbridge will sweeten the offer?

I doubt we'll see the offers change without the various committees making public reports first. .

Also, most of the off-ratio pricing is explained by ENB having gone ex-div yesterday. .

you must have stopped learnung math in grade 3 as i type enb 46.03 enf 32.84 .72x46.03= 33.14 so enf is trading below the offer.

not sutre , but even at 7029X46.03=32.35. not close to a buck premium. any slight premium will be the yield difference including the fact it is monthly

The simple fact that it is trading at a premium instead of a discount indicates that the market expects a better offer.

I disagree . The mkt would like a higher offer, I do not think this is in the cards. the small premium is more likely due to a higher dividend yield and the fact it is monthly rather then every Q

It’s not impossible. The offer was made on a certain date, and subject to the trading whims of that date. They knew that any price offered would be subject to a review, so why spend a lot of time polishing the nickles? Including the 5% nominal premium it might be called a fair-value price IMHO but with no incentive bonus included, or compensation for the drop in divs. I would have accepted an ...more
