Press release

I strongly urge all EGL shareholders to carefully read the dissidents' press release from today. It outlines in detail several key reasons why the current board should be voted out. Any one of them is sufficient to justify a change. But taken together, the document is a scathing indictment of the mismanagement that has plaqued this company and brought us from $10 to the edge of bankruptcy. Due your own DD. But after reading the arguments, I can't see any reason to give this board any more time.

I've been sitting on the fence for a while now.  I don't like the loan arrangement nor the high G & A expenses.  But, I also don't trust the motives from the concerned shareholders.  Selling assets in this environment begs discounted sale.  They've also put in a casual comment that once cost controls and improved balance sheet is achieved maybe the best ...more

Whodathunkit - I agree that we can't know for sure what the dissidents plans are. It's very dependent on oil price and new financing, so they probably don't fully know either. But what we can say with certainty is that high debt is what kills junior oil corps like Eagle. Just look at tbe, sgy, plt...too much debt and not enough production. Exactly the situation with egl. Mr. Gundersen owns 500,000 shares of Eagle.  Of course he will be shareholder friendly!
Comment by whodathunkit on Jun 01, 2017 12:42pm
Actually, no.  It is not "of course he will be shareholder friendly".  There are ways he can benefit without the rest of shareholders benefiting.  As an example, he can sell assets at a discount, to a company he has an interest in.  I'm not suggesting this is what he is planning, just saying it is not so simple a situation to assume he will do what's right for ...more

Well said Scottie. I too am eager for June 27. I have a good feeling that change is coming. This is our one and only shot to get this stock moving and recover our capital

Are you really that black and white in your thinking?  Yes he should have to abstain from the vote but that doesn't stop someone from influencing the vote.  That doesn't stop side deals from happening.  I'm not so naive to ignore the simple but true statement, where there's a will there's a way.  And if you are suggesting that Mr. Gundersen will likely issue ...more

Totally agree! As I have posted before, I am going to post it again (below in case anyone didn't have a chance to read it).   And, I will be voting with Mr. Gundersen!!! __________________________________________________________________________________ Eagle's Management Is Self-serving.....In My Opinion!
