Focus Graphite
I think when gary was CEO and starting up he had a lot of visions but didn't realize how long it will actualy take to get all the approvals. When he said 'shovel ready' in the fall, i dont think he knew what he was getting into. On average it takes 15-20 years for a mining company to actually start production. Its a long process and canada is planning on making a 5 year process down the line but will take years before it starts.
Focus has two different graphite mines, Lac Knife and Lac Tetepisca. Lac Knife is the closest to production and a few years behind Lac Tetepisca. Lac Knife should have finished ESIA study which was planned submission in the fall. They also had to meet with local commmunities and impacts of the project Both of these are crucial to moving forward into production stage.
Lac Knife aslo recently had a feasbile study that favored the Lac Knife producting higher yields. This is also huge as the last updated feasible study was in 2014. This will be encouraging when new mine devoleper financers reviews focus's mine plan before they invest. Unfortnetly, many mining companies dont make it to the "development stage."
Fortunetly, i actually think they will make it and have a profitiable mine but time will tell.
Lac Tetepisca is the bigger mine of the two. as said above, they are 'years' behind Lac Knife. This mine will be the real money maker after the Lac Knife initial hype. The good news is that with lac knife up and running (hopefully) They can use that cash to finance Lac Tetepisca and get it up running faster. Whlie this will be years, they have experience of what to do and maybe even we get lucky and the minister of energy of canada will fast track mining policies and condese to five years all at the same time....
Financing. Financing is rough and will always be rough for a company that doesnt produce any product yet. We will need financers to finance focus as they are slim on cash but also to start up production, (hiring, someequipiment, etc back end costs) before actual production. Again this takes time and effort ($$$$$$$$$$) it is not cheap. You dont want a company to go into something they have no plan for. Its better to wait and take your time with everything (not to long or you may go broke) and get it right the first time.
Graphfoid - thiis is a interesting investment. As of right now, this is a failure, google maps shows the place run down, doesnt look like anyone works there but unsure of it. They did not make any revenue and is in defecit. Focus has not funded them and they have not funded us. I think what there play is here is that once up and running they will utilize their technology and thats when they will become useful. Graphoid also is interesting because in 2019 they released a article saying that they bought alot of shares in brail energy and under ticker bes, they are up right now and guess who is on the board of their committee? CEO. as said before I think each company, focus graphoid, brail energy ( i think they are connected to another company i forget name now) are relying on lac knife and lac tetepisca to get started and they can use our graphite to expand their technology. This is a great business model as they will be a constant buyer making focus a multi million dollar company
