Reputation Damage

Couche-Tard is going to wear this and will take a reputational hit. What they have done, quite effectively, is to finance FAF on the backs of retail investors. This should be a red flag to other companies who are considering Couche-Tard as an investor; strategic or otherwise, and investors who are considering investing in any company that Couche-Tard has money in. Today will wipe out a lot of retail investors. It's a very bad look...

Interesting to see if ATD makes a move before SAF, they like to move when the price is cheap, it is the MO.

and there is certainly a strong motive behind that ...

I don't quite understanding what you mean (?) but do want to. Do you mean that ACT is motivated (and would agressively act on that self-motivation) to drive the price down?

no they beleive cannabis is a good produce for them to sell inside their stores . They think in a few years it will be legalize in the US and in other countries .With FAF they learn the game and prepare themself as legalisation is not if but when .

Okay. I think that supports the point I'm trying to make; that ACT is acting only as a self-interested party, and in no way, shape, or form in the interest of any other shareholder. I'd say it's time for the CEO to leave and for the BoD to be overhauled.  The reality seems that FAF is now just a division of ACT. We will never know if FAF would have been a good company. Don't ...more

as usual only time will tell ...but what we can say right now is this : all the cannabis stocks are down ...like most other stocks in the world... all this being considered i prefer to stick with FAF until at lease for a few more years because ACT has plenty of money , have proven the quality of their management , can and do and should with time make major acquisitions on that cannabis market ...more

ACT was a valid reason to be in FAF. At this point I think its the reason to seriously consider being out. ACT will either actively drive the share price down (whoeover manages the ACT account) so as to buy FAF outright as cheap as possible in the future -- or as we are seeeing -- do nothing to support the share price. It all adds up to retail investors lose...

I doubt that they would apply that type of strategy, FAF is a small fry aquisition that can easil be bought by ATD. If you consider how important their (ATD) reputation is in future ventures ( such as trying to aquire French supermarket chains) why would they display predatory behaviour regarding FAF. Don't forget FAF has valuable realestate and permits as well as Hyfire data and a data deal ...more

agree 100 % it is a serious solid good reputation company ...if the market -they are smart enough not to manipulate the stock price -but smart also to see and understand the overall market -to buy the stock at a very low price it present itself now .  Cannabis fits very well in their stores eventually when things stabilize in a few years . I have always consider that stock as a long term and ...more
