Fury and DV valuations ... update as we start the year

RIght now, DV current total market cap is approx. 207m shares o/s x $0.63 trading price = $128m

Fury's share of DV = $130m market cap x 36.9% = $48m

Right now, Fury trading at about $106m market cap TOTAL.

This means you are paying $58m for Committee Bay and Quebec assets.

Seems like a lot of value here for those assets on their own ...

Well, Fury's share of market cap of DV is now $55m, up from $48m a couple days ago. All else equal, Fury stock should be up about $7m ... and lo and behold, Fury market cap is up $6m. Seems like DV may be the biggest mover of Fury stock in the short-term ... and is now effectively 1/2 of Fury's market cap. GLTA

Don't expect too much from Fury's shares in DV. I'm just afraid they will slowly cash them out to fund the quest of yet another world-class discovery...

I'd actually be more concerned that Fury is now a derivative play on DV. Fury should just look at cashing out the rest of the properties and returning the funds to the investors. IMO management incompetence essentially made it almost impossible for the SP to ever go up again. I also feel sorry for DV investors that Fury scammed two board seats. Their incompetence will destroy DV value as well.

I fear that you are right about that ....alltho the quest seems to have become stillborn...witness sombrero/whatever its newly minted incarnation..without even a listing, fury ...which has been unable to produce anything of note..and I refer specifically to the installed promise of Committee bay and finally our silver titan which has so far given us ..a world class trench! Things looked a lot ...more

I personally think the exploration sector is dead to the general investors. If you can imagine that IB and his team are the best in the industry, it just goes to show luck played a big part and covers up what is complete incompetence. I can't wait to get my whatever the hell they're calling Sombrero shares so I can sell and be done with this pathetic train wreck.

I wouldn't say exploration is dead. Great Bear Resources shows what it's all about!

Perhaps Fury should dividend out its DV stake to shareholders .... would seem to provide the most value to its shareholders (and Fury can keep the $5m).  Would allow Fury to raise money on its own merits on Quebec and NWT assets, and give shareholders in DV a pure play.

Update,  At DV share price of $0.79, it is now worth market cap of $164 million. FURY share is 37% or $60 million. FURY market cap is $109m TOTAL (@ $0.83) This means you now get Quebec assets and Committee Bay for $49 million, which is a 16% discount to what the price was on Jan.3. Seems like a good buy at these prices, especially with the recent Quebec news.  Limited downside for ...more
