My Accounts converted

well my shares converted this eve... CMED to ACB. For the ones where I chose the Cash Option, the cash allocation was 13.94% And for some reason, when TD did the all share conversion, they used my book value on CMED and some random price of $3.52 for ACB. I know its just a share to share conversion but it messed up my book value in my investment. Is this standard?

MT:  You should go back and take a look at your book values then. I also deal with TD and my book values in my various accounts all works out to a rounded figure of either $11.30 or $11.31 per share of Aurora.

yes exactly that's what it shows for the ones where I chose the cash option Book value of $11.30 for ACB however when they did the all share conversion for some reason they used my original book value of CMed but then I ended up with a larger Book value than I ever paid for Cmed so something doesn't seem right

i have a TFSA so would not be a tax issue. I have to phone them and straighten it out. Right now, for the shares in question only, it shows 81% gain as opposed to 225% i had that very same day! Good thing I took a screenshot! :-0

MT:  Aurora would not know if your CMED shares were being held in a non-taxable registered account or a taxable registered account.  The only thing that Aurora would know is whether you went for the all-share option or the all-cash option. They probably made the assumption that anybody going for the all-share option would also do a tax election and as a result, guided the investment ...more
