Of course he is.  Guistra = smart money

Two years ago this thing was trading in the 20's. One year ago it was trading in the 50's and 60's and today it's in the 30's. One could also look at GGI -- for the past two years it could barely get above 20 cents even up to as late as July this year. I'm sure no one here would have been interested in trading their highly rated SSP shares for GGI shares. And to day GGI is ...more

You prove an interesting point:  There are quite a few examples of juniors logging 10 baggers in a year's time frame.  You just have to be patient.  Accumulate on weakness and hang on for the ride.......

And does Frank have anywhere near the influence and cash commitment of Eric Sprott.

The color of the gold in the ground nor the total amount of it within your property holdings do not change based upon who is investing in your stock.  Sprott may have better PR machinery at hs disposal but at the end of the day ounces in the ground talk. I'll invest in elephants with little press vs rinky-dinky juniors du jour getting the pump treatment.  Some investors just prefer ...more

That rinky-dinky junior seems to be doing quite well compared to this 10 year story of gold in the ground. Some day someone may notice it but that could be another 5 - 10 years by the looks of it. Still praying for the price of gold to go over $1400 before it's even feasible?

This company is one of my best long term holds. Every single canary in the coal mine is dead. The stock market is dead. It just doesn't know it yet. The same guys who predicted the last crash are predicting the next one and it could come at any time. Too many catalysts to mention. All we need is $1400 gold. Marin Katusa says that the rush for gold stocks will be akin to trying to force Niagara ...more

Mack, you hit the nail on the head:  the stock market is dead.  To prove how messed up the market and institutional investing is I had a conversation with one of the financial planners who administrates the 401k program where I work.  I have been encouraged by the company to join since they offer a 4% matching contribution.  The problem is they do not offer any metals/mining ...more

Right on Heywood. From what I have been reading, the smart money is already quietly making its exodus. The really dumb money, however, continues to pile on. A very good bud of mine is a financial planner. In times past, planners used to recommend 5 to 10% gold in ones portfolio. Now they hate it. And they are also ignorant in terms of what the POG has actually done over the long term. Here's ...more
