Still no access to my shares... how about you?

Sadly enough, and absolutely maddening by now, I still do not have any access to my shares. I have reached out to my broker, to GBR, and now even to TSX - but to no avail. TSX and GBR has not responded to my emails. Broker only says "shold have been sorted by market opening today".

Not helpful at all.

How about the rest of you?

whats interesting is that today I agree with you, yesterday I was fine, my colleague has SPIN shares but both arent tradable and doesnrt look like he received 1/4 in the total either... I think this needs a business date or two to sort out, also if you try and trade you should be able to fyi

It seems that we Eurepean shareholders are still suffering. my German bank told me that it might take another day or two to find the new shares in our deposits

My broker now blames an "internal" problem at their end. Supposedly I will have my shares visible and accessible tomorrow. Somehow the proof is in the pudding so we will see...

Thinking 10.40 should hold . Apr 30 to May 5 leg over for now . Yesterday low will have to get some support.

My TD share are now changed to a US stock under GTBDF and no sign of spin off shares ???
Comment by eatmorefiber2 on May 06, 2020 11:13am
My TD accounts in the US have not changed the symbol and I cannot buy or sell.  These takedowns in the morning are frustrating because I would like to purchase on these dips.  Once is happenstance, twice is enemy action.

Had the new GBR shares in my accouny yesterday but they are gone today . Have them with RBC Direct Investing.

I call this a giant clusterfuk. Some can trade, some cannot. This is just beyond bad, and way into the realm of utter incompetence.  I do not know how is responsible, but that one needs to be talked to in quite a stern voice. We are talking about stocks for over $500M here, and not so few of them has either gone missing or cannot be traded.  Incredible.

A lot of moving parts to this story - there are transfer agents, brokers, accountants, law firms and probably the tax man too - in several countries. The fact that the new stock isn't listed may further complicate matters.   Not making excuses.  I was surprised I couldn't trade today again.  Yesterday was a surprise, today is a WTF!!?!    As long as I get all my ...more

vestor:  I think you got it right.  Too many moving parts. With dividends they announce an ex-dividend date which is usually weeks (and sometimes months) before actual payment.  That way they know who has the shares, how many and how much they're owed.   In this case, the transition was to be done over night, with shareholders of May 4 getting new shares May 5.  My ...more

The only proper thing would be to put all trading on hold until this giant mess is sorted. It wil not happen, I know, but it would be the right thing to do.

In respect to the new shares ,which are frozen on my rbcdirect account, but are tradable on the dashboard page, go figure. I phoned rbcdirect and asked what was happening. He said every thing should work tomorrow. I also asked about the royalty shares, and he figure they should appear in all accounts by Friday. We shall see
Comment by iForgit on May 06, 2020 3:49pm
Called E-Trade today and they said likely weeks not days before this would all get transfered in my accounts.  Better yet, currently it shows value at 100% loss.

I can't even get through to my broker to get a full explanstion. Could you explain exactly what is going to happen that would result in no access to the stock.  You said transfer, what transfer is going on, transfer to what.for what reason. Thank You In Advance

Just finished watching season finale of seal team at 11:00 pm. Decided to have a last look at my rbcdirect accounts. All accounts have the royalty shares, in full, and the new gbr shares are tradeable as normal. Will hold till the endgame. Happy camper

I’m with td Waterhouse in Canada. I have my new gbr shares now. They are able to be traded. My Spinco shares are all sitting there as well.  Took a while but happy to see them.
Comment by vestor111 on May 07, 2020 6:09am
Down here south of the border, so far this AM, neither my stock trading houses and the various accounts in each have GBR tradeable nor is Spinco listed yet.   Maybe sometime this AM.  Good things take time...I guess.
Comment by 1cent1950 on May 07, 2020 9:47am
All my shares and spinco are in my TD account. Funny spinco shares are not tradeable but my shares show a loss already
Comment by peschenlo on May 07, 2020 11:05am
