I don’t think anyone is expecting a “Monday Morning” HL SP surprise?
The analysis that to date production is up in comparison to last year appears to be correct, but the shutdown of Friday until end of 23 could have on impact on total production guidance. Can Keno Hill make up the shortfall? In July it was stated that Keno Hill is expected to produce 2.5m oz. It seems KH has produced 700,000 oz since restart, is 2.5m by year end real? I think I read that the total cost of the Friday “rock shift” was covered by insurance… It now appears iit affected 23 guidance? Anyway it’s not probable that HL is going away any time soon regardless of Friday.
As noted in another post my interest in HL is (now that they have acquired Keno Hill) is how KH will move forward (with production and remediation). There have been KH events in the last 20 years that companies (there are several in the area) have either languished or produced and created corporations with over paid directors, managers, etc. Some were like over the top blue sky promoters that left as fast as one could say KH. At least that concern in regards with HL KH oversight (mining and remediation) should be minimized for HL shareholders. It will be interesting to see HL Keno Hill AISC in 24.
HL to date production is up in comparison to last year, but the shutdown of Friday till year end may have an impact on total production guidance unless Keno Hill can make that up?
HL acquired ATAC in July, C39m.
HL acquired AXU (Keno Hill) July finalized Sep. C74m.
While not large outlays for HL it’s still a consideration.
Will Keno Hill meet the expected target of 2.5m oz for 23?
