Will probably only be interesting to investors that are also interested in what is happening in Keno Hill area generally and may be interesting if your into VGCX and HL.
If correct -
None of this is 100% confirmed and details are sketchy.
First no one injured. OK we got that cleared.
Hecla is not directly involved (they already had a wake up call over saferty incidents and are responding).
VGCX stock was drastcally affected and of course there are now talks of closure (investors comments) , it's a seriois ground incident and also affects the leaching area with a containment breach.
The indirect effect is that ministries in both the Yukon and BC will be all over this with the resultant delays due to increased inpections on every move. First Nations (Na-Cho Nyak Dun) , geo, engineering, safety and any one with an interest in the area will be all over this.
As a side note I was looking at Banyan's (HL has an interest) 3D map (it's good except fot some labelling issues) and looking at the Aurmac area, I was thinking investment when I noticed this.
