Big jump in cash flow/netbacks

Longview reported its Q3 earnings this evening, I am still going through the report, but from first look $18m in cash flow and $43 in netbacks is stealer considering the weather constrained production. Also good to see that debt is flat year over year and the payout so far this year is at 103%. Here is the press release:

Also you will note that Longview is further disassociating with Advantage with both Mr. Andy Mah and Mr. Neil Bokenfohr resigning their posts and focusing on Advantage.

Strong numbers. Strong hedges but need the CDN vs WTI discount to turnaround. For those wanting to watch the differential go to www.dailyoilbulletin.com and keep an eye on  Net Energy Sweet Closing Price* -$19.75 USD/BBL $75.05 $19.75 is the current forward discount for a cdn oil contract vs WTI. The net $75.05 is in US dollars so about $78.60 cdn, ...more

Terr, Good observations. Just a note about the sweet oil price in Canada, up to Wednesday the actual price was $91; yesterday it dipped to $85. Thus LNV is not getting $75 yet (excluding the hedges), the Net Energy closing price is a futures price (I am not sure how deep into the future) but it is not yet set in stone that the actual price will trade at the future price by the time we get ...more

Thanks for straightening that out Nawar, it has often been said that the forward strip was the right data point, but as you point out, the Cdn Par Average is closer to actual sales price. Good stuff, it increases my expected cash flow to about $17.5 million, bringing the year in at $67 million. If they spend cap ex in Q4 as guided and reaffirmed, the year could come in with total payout below 100% ...more
