What do I do with my useless LSTMF shares?

The trade cost would be more than the value of the shares.

Do I just ask the bank to de-list this stock in my account, or do I actually have to sell the shares to settle out for a tax loss? I am with RBC action direct.

Thanks in advance!

Since the sale closed on Dec 31, you should be able to prove your shares became wothless in 2016 https://www.taxtips.ca/stocksandbonds/worthless-shares-or-debt.htm

For the first time Oldfart contributed something useful - a Taxtips link. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------- Tax rule subsection 50(1) states.
