Pull back on commodities

This Reuter news could explain the pull back.  It looks like it is not Mart, it is broader than that and Mart was in the downdarft.

"Was" in the downdraft?  This thing continues to drop like a rock.   That runup reeked of manipulation.

Relax, this is a highly volatile market and Mart is doing just fine for long holders. The price of oil down 2.5% today The price of copper down 2% today The price of Gold at a 6 month low.  Not to mention the dow down 180 points in 2 days, and Asia down 400 points last night.   We have some good things in the pipeline ( pun intended) UMU10, UMU11 spud, potential second rig for an ...more

lots of buzz going on gold reversal and profit taking to high fliers (like mart) to buy gold stocks is might be on traders mind.

the last thing we want is for the ceo to micromanage the daily share price performance.  we want him to focus on moving the business forward and executing on the gameplan.  I dont want him taking time out of his daily schedule to issue press releases just because the stock is down 10 or 15 cents.  he is the ceo of a company not a babysitter (not intended as an insult to anyone ...more

mango, 110% in agreement with you.  That said, the company has a responsibility to communicate pertinent updates to its shareholders.  It could be Wade's #2, it could be that PR firm we pay I don't know what for, but "the company" should be delivering timely (not daily/weekly; perhaps monthly) updates on the progress or lack thereof.  I'm excited about all the ...more

kaiser, congrats on the 2 year hold.   yeah, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to ditch the pr firm.  the dividend and cashflow is all the pr we need with a semi-regular update on the company about oil production.  I could go for that.  but yeah, alot of this info could possibly need to be green lit before given out to shareholders.  I'd rather have ...more
