I have mixed thoughts about this but it shouldn't change anything in the short term.

canyousayiii, can you expand on your comment? "I have mixed thoughts about this but it shouldn't change anything in the short term." interested in your thoughts. My initial thoughts were a positive as it might signal a entry into the chinese market (which is a huge market).

China is champion of reverse ingeneering. With reverse ingeneering the desing ingeneer start with the final product and work through the desing process in the opposite direction to arrive at the product desing specification. The hiring of Philip Chen could be to give a chance to KNR to  be protected  from Chinese reverse ingeneering. Althought it is very hard to be protected from ...more

I think it is reasonable to say that the "China angle" is a relatively prominent piece in this appointment. And it has implications to the access to the Chinese market and to potential financing...not so much for the listing on the North American markets because surely there are many qualified individuals on this continent to help guide the process for this continent's listing. So ...more

Another way to look at it is if we are getting close to the point where financing is coming, based on the SP righht now, that KNR is about to do everything it can to get the SP up right away so that the pricing is more favourable and fair from this rediculous low level it sits at now. I see this as very good news.

Many will hate this but until sales of the biocloud prove otherwise, i believe we are over priced based on our core revenue. Until then, we are trading on speculation.
Comment by fishtail on Jan 06, 2021 10:11am
>>> we are trading on speculation. disagree -- imho, very little speculation built into the sp.  Basically mr market is assuming no BioClouds are going to be shipped.

without biocloud, I think we would go back to 1$ and less. Where the price was before all those announcements. So you got a great deal of speculation, but we know it works and we got patents. The only thing we don't know is if somebody wants to buy it. Up until now, the answer is basically, no. But there is probably a lot of things we don't know yet, that is where the specualtion is.
Comment by canyousayiii on Jan 06, 2021 10:45am
Felker, not that it is the reality, but yes it could be since these venture markets do not trade based on fundamentals but on emotions. But, I would welcome that based on just the existing business. $40 million valuation for a 5-year old company that has grown its revenues to above $10 million early on and has big name clients, I'll take that any day. The reason why KNR was so cheap before ...more

Kontrol knows what they have and its value.  They are not doing any financing without some decent "speculation" -- as you put it -- factored in.  And those financing will know it too. They wont be -- or shouldnt be -- doing any financing unless it is well above $3.
Comment by Arbourmark on Jan 06, 2021 11:34am
Hi Wilander, I enjoy following your posts. Can you share your thoughts as to why Kontrol may require a financing. Kontrol requires 35% deposit on each BioCloud unit ordered, so I assume that 35% deposit covers KNR production costs thus eliminating any risk nor requiring additional cash to complete production of units to fill orders. I will say that the public news releases of uplisting to ...more
Comment by wilander on Jan 06, 2021 11:38am
It is my understanding that often, some financing is done before (or to get) uplisted to the indexes.  Part of the process. As far as I can see, that would be the only reason they would "need" to do it. It is also why I do not think they will allow it to be done at firesale prices like it is at right now.
Comment by canyousayiii on Jan 06, 2021 12:14pm
Usually there are some requirements as to how much money you need to have in the treasury and how some of the money has been raised - prospectus, and some similar mumbo jumbo requiring investor participation. Operationally, Paul was pretty clear that they would not need to raise money through equity financing to satisfy working capital needs. If there are favorable loans out there or government ...more

To each their own of course, but  IMO the sooner we are on the TSX and Naz the better.   Its not a "ho-hum, doesnt really matter, don't care about it too much, happens when it happens" kind of thing. You do realize so many funds and institutions cannot even touch this as an investment as we sit on the CSE, right?
Comment by yearninyank on Jan 06, 2021 2:46pm
Just a word of advice to anyone who hasn't played this game: If at any moment you hear the company use the words "reverse split" of "consolidation" just sell immediately. If they say hey, we need to jack or price (which as been floundering) to over 5 with a reverse split so we can uplist... run. No B,S.   And yeah, there will be people on this very board ...more

I am quite confident there is not a chance of that.  Nadda.
Comment by whaler83 on Jan 06, 2021 2:54pm
Agreed a reverse stock split is never good and never works out. i do not see that in the cards in any way for Kontrol. that is not Pauls style. as he said, he will move to the big boards based on the success of the company (ie. when the company has earned it via earnings and thus share price). Citi financial did a revers split back in 2011 (roughly when i bought it and sold right after that ...more

I was in a reverse that worked out great. Early September Internet of Things (ITT) changed their name to Predictiv AI (PAI) and did a reverse, giving 1 for every 5.5.  Stock was .02 at the time, making the new price .11.  It more than doubled in the next three days, tripled in the next three weeks, mostly on spec for their ThermalPass entry system.  I got out at around the double ...more

Mxed thoughts indeed! No knock on China or anything becuase they are a force in the game. But Chinese interest may be great for the development of the product the last time I held what I thought was a promising stock Chinese interest led to the company ultimately being purchased by a Chinese corporation. And, oh by the way, the price floundered and declined for months ahead of the deal so we all ...more

I might be a touch into conspiracies, but don't a great many experts believe that the virus began in a viral technology lab in Wuhan, and not at a wet market selling bats? As such, selling our units to China might very well help them in creating future viruses that would be designed to avoid detection by the very instruments we're selling them to "help" them. Give them our ...more

Dude, stop your xenophobic nonsense you make us look stupid. I regret I even used the word China in my previois post. I should have just used the word "financial interest". This is some Trump grade nonsense you are spouting. BTW, everybody else... are you watching our stupidity on TV right now. Sheesh.

Dude! I am merely expressing my concerns where China (not the rest of the world) is concerned. Xenophobia is the fear of all things foreign. My sister headed an architectural firm in China and lived in Shanghai for 5 years. Suffice it to say that not fearing China is exactly why the US is in such a state (no pun intended) today. It makes me sick and/or laugh to hear all the "greatest country ...more

I am pleased that you looked up xenophobia and clarified that you are simply Sinophophic (and possibly a bit racist). Precison is valued here.  Are you criticizing Biden from afar...?  That is funny. Like I said, feel free to make fun of us but be cautious how you do it or people might think you are an idiot. (I'm sorry everybody, really, I hate to bring this garbage to the board and ...more

If there is one thing I have learned on here is you cant change the crazies.  And if you engage them -- and "repell" them -- you merely indulge them and give them more reason to post their thoughts.  ;)
