I think I heard by magic carpet. Then rub the unit till the genie comes out :p. "That's what he said"
Comment by yearninyank on Feb 27, 2021 1:07pm
Yeah, that seems like a distant memory and you have to wonder what happened there... not a confidence booster to be reminded of that. Imagine if our skeptics ran with that. I imagine it would sound something like "and after suggesting that they would be releasing news about a trial of the product in the UAE they simply never did." I will say I am not certain what Kontrol specifically ...more

Put Biocloud in Scotiabank Arena (Air Canada Centre) TOMORROW for FREE! Every kid watching Mitch Marner play hockey outfitted in "True" apparel - wants to buy "True" apparel.  How much could it possibly cost to outfit the arena? $100,000? How much did they pay Emerging Markets to do nothing really of note.   The exposure alone would see the rest of the arenas follow ...more

Yes, this is on the precipice. Wether success or failure we will soon know becuase any of us could market this thing better. Assuming it works. No point in bluffing your investors. Show your hand Ghezzi.

I wasn't aware the shareholders here were the intended market for biocloud. We don't know how this is being marketed . Mostly because we personally aren't the intended customers. Paul made it very clear in the beginning how we wanted sales to go (ie to a major validating order first  rather than smaller ones). I'd imagine those interested in buying have been given a much ...more

"Imagine" being the key word here. I work for a very large company in the transportation industry, all I'm saying is that nobody knows about this.
Comment by Edcando on Feb 27, 2021 3:50pm
Well while I believe govts make stupid decisions all the time, I'd "imagine" someone knows about it because they were just given $2 million (not to test the concept) to ACCELRATE production and INCREASE capacity to 20k units a month from 10k. They must have seen PO or letters of interest etc. The distributors and their clients know /are finding out about it. An east coast newscast ...more

It must be being marketed by secret handshakes and late night phonecalls then... either that or someone installed Biocloud news blocking malware on my computer. Sheesh. ;) Oh, wait, maybe they are marketing it with that app where the messages disappear....
Comment by Edcando on Feb 27, 2021 5:56pm
Hyuk! Good one . Orrrrrrrrf maybe they just aren't marketing it publicly? It's the height of hubris to assume that if one doesn't know about something , that no one possibly could.
Comment by Pilotboy246 on Feb 27, 2021 9:19pm
Why hire Emerging Markets then?  I was under the impression they hired them to get the name out there, I guess not?
Comment by Edcando on Feb 27, 2021 11:22pm
Yes and no? The company offers a ton of services of which most have nothing to do with public advertising for customers (arguably web services could be added to that list). Again I'll also point out   That just because something isn't being marketed to us, it doesn't mean it isn't being marketed to certain people. I guess I can also add that aside from any web traffic services ...more

That's a false premise. The problem is that when either joe public or Joe CEO  or Joe Government Scientist Googles in Biocloud the first non-ad they see is: https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/covid-19-critical-thinking-general-science/bioclouds-science-air   and then they can also see a really well known prof Dr. McNally express scepticism: https://www.bbc.com/news ...more
Comment by Edcando on Feb 27, 2021 3:55pm
Oh I didn't say there was anything wrong with that lol. I was merely saying our success as a company doesn't necessarily hinge on Joe public /Joe ceo see advertisements on google searches lol. Again I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but advertisements are passive marketing (waiting for customers to google us and call lol). That is important but not as important as ...more

Nice response Edcando - good discussion. Plenty of good comments, posts, questions, and participation here.  I guess that's partly why KNR is on the top 10 list of Bullboards for views.

I wonder if that wasn't a slight oversight by Paul. By concentrating too much on the big orders, maybe he should have announced a few smaller sales to show the market that there is demand rather then keeping the smaller orders quiet.
Comment by canyousayiii on Feb 27, 2021 4:15pm
That intention was talked about late last summer or in the fall. I am sure many early intentions had changed and we really don't know much. For example, the target for the number of distributors has changed, and it could be good or it could be bad. We don't know which it is.
Comment by Edcando on Feb 27, 2021 4:19pm
By "market" do you mean the stock market or the market of those needing Biocloud units ? Yes ceos work for the shareholders and are obliged to bring value. The problem is too often that gets confused with a stock price we are all happy with. I'm sorry, but it doesn't mean that. His/their job is to increase the value of the company in a real way. As long as this unit works the way ...more

Part of publicly traded life is timely material disclosure, to great extent determined by management judgment. I would think in these early stages a lot of progress can be viewed material, but that is me. There will be egg on people's faces for sure, the question is whether they will be fresh or rotten eggs.

That is SUCH a good idea - I vote for one at Queen's Park

I'd give up 10% of my shares to do it right now! If it's a failure I lose the other 90% anyway, a success and that 10% won't really matter. Let's go!
