Nevada Copper Corp > Why isnt the target price at least $3.15?

Why isnt the target price at least $3.15?

I say this given that 31.5 cents was the top price in the last yr =before the 10:1 consolidation

If NGU or others who study the issue could comment =taking into consideration the recorded book value PLUS the estimate FAIR VALUE of the unrecorded value based on other miners including both the mine and most importantly the deposit both MEASURED and INFERRED!

This is what I would expect the sophisticated investor would normally be doing!?

My expectation is that the Expected Value is more like in the range of $ 10-30 per share ie $1-3 pre the consolidation!

Comments appreciated!

Rock, Good comment, my take on it is that the market prices NCU based on risks and what has been delivered on.  A company can only disappoint the market so many times - so now NCU is going to have to prove that it can deliver on production levels, costs and profit.  As well, the company IMO has not done a good job communicating with shareholders - you add all this together and you get ...more

very well worded, this is how it must be done along with rising copper price

" the sophisticated investor would normally be doing!?" Rocky,   I'm not sure I have the authority to speak on what sophisticated investors might do, since that's one of the few things I've never been called myself. But you're too damn close to the trees.  How do you think it could happen that a “sophisticated investor” would be motivated ...more

Rock... when I started purchasing last year(around last year's dip to 6 cents) my only thought was that NCU was a baby going out with the bath-water and that it would probably not actually get sucked though the drain. A month or two later I stated, and stuck to, a 12 month target of (today) $4.50 to $6.00. Since then copper has done better than I expected and the situation at the mine ...more

Long term, and the thing about a buy-out or a JV, that is very important to us via the share price, is the multiple that the market is willing to pay up on cash-flow. I think that a larger, more well known major actor could easily command a 10 to 12 times multiple where-as Pala going it alone (no matter anyone's personal views on Pala as a business entity) will only command a sub 10 time ...more

And that folks, is the buy'm and keep'm thesis of the investment. Could you lose all in the attempt... of course you could... put in only as much as you can say F--itt to if you lose. N

"Could you lose all in the attempt... " How?  Could you provide a scenario that ends with shareholders with nothing?  Even in a BK, the assets are sold and the revenue is divided up among claimants.  That includes the value of the reserves, which would be bought at auction, prompting a bidding war, and would be sold IMO for more than the company owes.   Toss in a ...more

I agree it is unlikely but I never say never. If copper were to drop to $2.50 or below (for instance) for some reason then the assets would not sell for much. FYI: As you may guess I remain very bullish though, N

"I agree it is unlikely but I never say never. If copper were to drop to $2.50 or below (for instance) for some reason then the assets would not sell for much." I don't know who you are agreeing with!  You say it "unlikely", I say impossible.  They are NOT the same.   I don’t' care what you say as long as it is accurate.  Let me see, now - besides ...more
