-- Yanchang Petroleum International Ltd would fully acquire Novus Energy Inc, a Canada-based oil and gas company, for 500 million Canadian dollars ($475.94 million), according to market sources.

$475.94m / 189.375m shares = $2.50/share
unless there is some debt they are covering separately
at $0.84 last SP, that's 297% premium

potentially share deal vs. cash deal and the combined company lists on TSX

sorry, read wrong figure. it's $500m CDN, not $475.94m. thus, it works out to $2.64/share, or 314% premium.
