You sure have a lot of opinions IMO!
Just remember that there are many possible reasons to value one company different than another, including quality of production, reliability of reserves, undeveloped land/future locations, potential for waterflooding, and if you're buying stock in the market - quality of management. Obviously the market believes that RRX management is worth betting on, and I would havet o agree - Neil Rozell is as solid a manager as you can get. His team has a great track record of making investors money - NVS management maybe not so much!
Having been there myself, many times, rest assured that the process NVS went through was thorough and above board - the presence of all the I banks and teams of lawyers and the Exchange ensure that. It may not seem that way to you as an outsider, but believe me, these processes are pretty routine and all the numbers - break fee, etc are well within normal ranges.
Move on, there's no conspiracy here, just somewhat weak management!
