Waldo Perez

I am currently writing a blog post about NLC and need to find more information and articles about Waldo Perez and his role at Lithium Americas.

Does anybody have some links maybe?

Did he manage to lead the company from disocery to production?

I was shareholder of LAC when Waldo Perez lead it. No he did not lead LAC to production, LAC is not there yet, but he lead it from discovery to FS to JV. JV deal looked poor at the time, 25M for 50%, especially on background or ORL that received 10X more while ORL kept 67%. In long run, it was a win as it guaranteed road to production which proved to be more important than 50% stake as ...more

Thanks so much for this reply. This was very useful.  Regarding the timing of signing up with a JV partner, in this inverview below he seems to be very keen on waiting for the right time. He thought, he would sign last year, but hesitated and updated the PFS instead.  At 7min 48sec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbVVSlgRTlo&t=338s

Thank you. Waldo, and other top management,  is loaded with stock options and must be motivated to bring share prices up to have as many options as possible in money. Works for "retail shareholders" too. He might have low or excessively dilutive offers last year, or ones that do not lead to definite production (no financing, loans, guarantees). NLC has sufficient cash balance and ...more

I also think NLC is in a fairly confortable position. But it remains a risky bet.  Here is the blog post that I have finshed today: https://www.never-stop-asking.com/blog/neo-lithium-corp-owns-a-freak-of-nature Feel free to read it when you have time. If anybody finds wrong information, wrong numbers or anything else please let me know.  I would be super happy to get your ...more

NSA, with so many spammers on SH these days, I conveniently put you in the same box. I was wrong. You did write an admirable excerpt of the company's history. There are some "funny" issues, but I mentioned some of those in a reaction to your NSA blog. It's good to hear of someone who likes doing DD. It's important, I believe, to have fun.

Thank you so much for these kind words. It's very motivating to hear.  If you, or anybody else, has interesting stocks for me to dig deeper, please feel free to send it to me on my blog. I am constantly looking for new inspiration.  Best regards www.never-stop-asking.com https://www.never-stop-asking.com/blog/neo-lithium-corp-owns-a-freak-of-nature

I think you did very good job. Absolutely, it is a risky stock. Otherwise, 70M for well financed company with a star deposit would be ridiculous valuation. That is why I am investing in it as risks will be gradually removed (a believe) the capitalization will start catching up with NPV. Of course de-risking alone is not enough, JV, financing are needed too, but de-risking is goes together with ...more

Boring rhetoric

As I posted last year: "Drag out the lounge chairs onto the salar, some music, drinks and a good book, it's summer out there (well, last year, when I posted it, it was}." We've got to wait for a good offer and are in the enviable situation that we can allow ourselves to do so. Take the above in good humor and NOT literally :-) Have fun.
