The one and only post on NVR Inc on this platform was in 2012!
Back in 2012, it is without doubt that "bc4u" was on to something....LOL!
Exactly 25 years ago today, the stock price on this company was $48 per share and today it is $8,200. An IRR of 23%.
Its stock has never split. It has never paid a dividend. It has virtually never had debt relative to its cumulative free cash flow generation.
Its strategy? Build homes, make massive profit, buy back stock. Rinse and repeat.
A true beacon of American exceptionalism!
It has a historically impeccable reputation. It has generated exceptional returns for its shareholders. It has made its management multi multi millionaires and perhaps billionaires.
This is the only company I can think of that only needs one metric...P/E ratio and it is currently 15.5.
Most other companies need a bunch of other silly metrics to defend/backfill their stock price.
