Deal

If the deal causes ACB to rise by $2.00 then CMED will go up $5.00 from here assuming a 2.5/1 allocation and HIP would increase another $.17/sh.

 so if i had 1000 shares and sold @1.95 im at a  nietherlose nor a gain ( within reason) if the merger happens.  just checking with those who have more experience,  thanxz.

That's a very unfavorable deal for the share holders and I would think that management would work a deal in the $2.50-3 range...anything less and they might as well avoid a merger and stay on their own and try and grow their own company

I hope you are right. I have no skin in the game at this point. Where I disagree is that you would have thought that management would have worked out a revised deal with CMED when HIP was trading at $3.00 but they didn't. They approved the 33/1000 ratio which equated to an $.85 HIP price at the time. I really wouldn't have faith in management. Only you will make the best decision for you ...more

Completely agree. It doesn't make sense. The owners of these companies are also shareholdlers. Why would they accept a worse deal when they could just grow their own company? The deal between CMED and HIP would have been great if ACB hadn't have supressed the share price of CMED. But to be number 1 in the industry everyone should be rewarded.  Worst case scenario they undercut HIP ...more

Have you looked at the CVs of the directors of Newstrike and their past experiance? None had anything to do with cannabis nor even microbiology. At least the CEO of Aphria was former CEO of Jaimeson vitamins and CEO of Aurora was a contractor who specialized in construction of growhouses.  These guys do not care if they sell at .86 cents a share. They will make their millions then go off and ...more
