groundbreaking ceremony for the mine?

If this is true this could be huge news.  Why would they go over there?  Finalizing a deal?  In person negotiations with potential buyer or buyers?  I do not think it has anything to do with a mine.  They still have too much info to divulge this year before they decide on that.  Could explain the little volume pop today.

Semafo is interested in Senegal's belt. Potential deal is 50 cents cash per share + 5/1 exchange in shares. Value as of april 1st was just $1.30 but right now it would be $1.75. Is that a deal Bendon and Badr would accept? Hopefully this or a similar deal works out.

NDM.... how do you know Chet's team went to Senegal?... would you mind elaborating?   thanks. Would be wonderful if true. And he could be going for many reasons.  Picking out his View from his new ofc.?   :)

JMHO, I am guessing Randgold bellies up $415 million cash for Bendon and Badr and offers 40 OLE shares for 1 GOLD share, which values OLE at ~$2.25. Is that a deal Badr and Bendon would accept?  Hopefully this or a similar deal works out.

Since Randgold is a liquid stock, I guess Bendon and Badr wouldn't mind receiving 50% cash 50% Randgold shares even. I think $2+ would be acceptable for them.

I heard Semafo was interested a while back. Glad to hear their name coming up again. Can anyone confirm OLE is really in senagal?

Agree, I'd rather not pay taxes when gold is eventually headed to $2k...
