Sure are alot of "experts" around here....

I'm from Alberta and the only people complaining about the change are the people in the oil industry......but most of them don't even know their head from their @$$. NDP support local oil and refining just not Keystone........They support raising corperate taxes as opposed to raising taxes again for the lower income earners. PC was going to obliterate the free healthcare we have become well known for out here and start charging and arm and a leg like BC. NDP are planning to kiabosh that as well......How quickly people forget how fast that dumb b!tch Allison Redford of the PC party racked up billions in debt and blew threw the contingency fund in her short tenure........Albertans needed change, even if just for a little bit to light a new fight under the political desk.

sorry to be a nay-sayer, but if you think the NDP is going to give you a free ride.....user pays, someone has to pay....corporate money is mobile....

Rabadadd, your clueless, the NDP will ruin Alberta, 15 dollar minimum wage? How is that going to HELP small business, next time you go to a Timmies and see your coffee at 5 bucks your going to start b1tching big time, when jobs all start to leave because corporate money is fluid, your going to start b1tching, when your standard of living starts to crash like it was for 30 years in Sask as your ...more

Wow - way to follow suit and stay true to the PC tactics of fear mongering. The NDP are in power, and now the sky is falling. Some people have really bought into the brain washing of the past several decades, and don't know any better. Too bad the people are now waking up and smelling the flowers. With more educated and willing citizens that are able to vote, the tide is turning. There is ...more

Give the lady a chance. Personally I think she has a lot of common sense.

interesting how a communist mind thinksJust because I trash the NDP doesn't mean I think the PC didn't need a b1tch slapHave's against the Have not's, more like entrepreneurs against the lazy sods who all believe everyone else owes them a living. Blame the job creators and business leaders for all that ails the down trodden, create a class war, patheticthe best possible scenario ...more

with regards to the AB election....better the devil you know, than the one you don't... The first order of NDP government is to build sand boxes in all public parks....raise the electrical power rates, close the coal plants...install zillions of wind power towers....tax the oils sands to force it to close, because Obama has denounced dirty oil....

I live in Central Alberta, on a per capita basis, the largest concentration of small business owners in Canada, why? Pretty simple, Alberta advantage. These are not millionaires, not zillionaires, not oil barons or the bad old boogymen the NDP love to trash as "them" and 'US". These are people who the "NDP lover" here classified as you and I. Two discussions I had ...more

Don't know about Alberta but I suspect small business owners and contractors are doing a lot better than you let on. Otherwise why is your housing sky high compared to Ottawa?? I know guys around here, retired, doing yard mtce. and charging $40 an hour and they have all kinds of work. Guy opened my neigbours pool, took an hour, $200. Who can live on $15 an hour?? Not me. You??

MrBigger, can only talk about what the highest minimum wage in the country do to their businesses, 30 people will be looking for work if it goes to 15 bucks an hour in my town. Its pretty simple economics. There are hundreds of people working these jobs in the food and retail businesses, at a minimum wage of just over 10 bucks an hour now, where do they go when the small business owner is forced ...more

Sorry guys. I know this doesn't help us get back on topic but I have to weigh in. As anyone who has been in or around politics knows, it's not about electing a government, it's about turfing the b@st@rds out. And this is the case here. The NPD just seemed to be appropriate punishment. Think of them as the scrubbing bubbles of the flush you just heard. I have every confidence that ...more

Your correct angry, and the bast@rds need to be turfed, just not by a majority NDP. It was said here ealier, best scenario would have been a minority NDP with WDR holding them in check. Notley is not as scary as Mulcare, not yet anyways, but she was raised orange and she would bleed orange, as a resident of Alberta, I am stuck with it for 4-5 years. If she is smart and doesn't to leave a Bob ...more

What a bleak outlook you have 90 yr old buddy. Atleast you likely won't be around for the next vote when NDP take power for another 4 years for a job well done. You likely didn't like sharing as a child? You hoarded your toys? Never lent a stranger in need any help? Were raised to believe more is better, and take more than your fair share? Some of the hardest working people in this ...more

Cobra, I don't live in Alberta, I live in a "have not" province with a NDP government and the words "hard working" and "NDP" will never be put in a sensible sentence together. Your probably the guy rob saw on Gateway with his hand out looking for a free ride. I look after my own, have never taken anything from anyone - an assumption every NDP supporter believes ...more

Oh Gawd, you trying to make me feel bad, you sorta succeeded. You see, I have a heart, that's why. I'm sorry that Bob Rae has soured you so on the NDP. Maybe read an article on Tommy Douglas, and maybe you won't be as bitter towards the party, but I somehow doubt that will happen. I am gonna stop posting on things not relevent to our beloved PGD, just got caught up with all the ...more

Now I mind when things get nasty that have nothing to do with this site, not that I like it when it's about PGD either. There's nothing I can basically do about it so I'm not going to spend a lot time on this, just that now, maybe you should keep your personal comments personal and private message each other, thanks.

my last word on this Cobra, show me were the NDP have ever left a legacy of prosperity in Canada.............we wait..........we wait.......we wait........sigh......... sadly it can't be done because it has never happened. I highly highly recommend you read this book, as should all NDP wannabes. https://indieinkpublishing.com/left-out/
Comment by Trekewl on May 07, 2015 6:19pm
wow, what a classless puke you are cobra. at least he won't be around...wow...you are just the perfect poster-boy for the commie NDP. The left wingers would just love to forget and rewrite all the hard work and sacrifice that all the old timers have done for this great country. Makes me sick.
Comment by Rabadaddy on May 07, 2015 7:24pm
