Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. > A lot of smoke?

A lot of smoke?

But is there fire?

Speculation is a bit rampant...wouldn't you all agree.

Why not speculate on a new fact to see if anyone comes up with something plausible?

Peter Meredith will be dropping from the board in 2.5 weeks from now.
PGD will be reducing the number of board seats by 1.
History has shown that PGD has reduced the board seats by 1 in the past and subsequently added someone to the board. This increase does not require Shareholder approval in between AGM's.

So....what say we? Why is he leaving? Will the position be replaced after the AGM?

Peter has been with Robert through Ivanhoe mines and some consider Peter to be Robert's right hand man.

LONG...PGD

That is interesting, where did you find out that he was leaving?  Thx

news before news?  Robert shifted 111 million shares back in Dec.  Robert getting bought out? Question, If  Meredith is dropping, why hasn't been announced publically?  Making room for DeBeers? Good luck

Without Robert Eric would have been done a long time ago. Without his money Pgd will have no way to raise funds for future work, leaving it with the only option of selling off its assets. Not a good position to be, with your back against the wall. Him leaving without a replacement would be worse than when deBeers left.

IMO, probably retiring, 35 years with Deloitte. Then Ivanhoe to present is another 19, that is almost 55 years. I am sure he has decided to relax.  He has earned it. No smoke.  I am still on the fence on what is going to happen. I have taken my profits from the dime offerings, fool me once etc.  Should have on the past offerings as well, but lesson learned. Still have lots in ...more

From Mikes Chidliak blog: Potential Acquirers   There is no mistaken that many junior exploration companies will end in the hand of a much larger company before any mine becomes a reality. Chidliak and Peregrine Diamonds may be the exception to the rule, but more likely than not the end result will be a takeover of the company. A partnership is also a strong possibility once the ...more

appears robybob has it right, not standing for re election, retirement then IMO as well.  Keep forgetting about Sedar.  Volume appears to be drying up, maybe a PDAC bounce afterall.  Waiting for news.  Good luck.
