Walter Aduviri had a meeting with Marco Arana
This week, Walter Aduviri, the new elected Regional President of Puno had a meeting with Congressman Marco Arana.
Arana is the founders of Tierra and Libertad, an environmental NGO, that has leaded a social and political antimining agenda and has showed an open strong opposition to some mining projects like Conga Project (Newmont) and Tia Maria (SPCC).
This year Arana also sent an open letter to President Vizcarra regarding his strong opposition to the exploitation of the uranium/lithium deposit in Puno by PL.
Any thoughts on why Aduviri wanted to meet Arana?

yes, as I heard they wanted to discuss how to make mobile phones and cars without using commodities like copper, gold, lithium, bauxite, gallium, etc. apparently, it was not easy and the meeting was closed on an undecided level and they drove home in their car made the old way, with commodities. Boy o boy, digingdeep, so you work for Tierra and Libertad, interesting to know.
