RE:RE:SNDL Finally Acquires Zenabis Assets Via CCAA ProcessI dont think they acquired Zenabis for the EU-GMP certification alone, but is was a nice bonus.
Zenabis owed them $60 million - it was take over Zenabis or wait until the facilities sold thru the bankrupcty process - and hope for the best as far as recovering some of that debt.
Two state of the art facilities, one of which they'll put up for sale - $29 million in cannabis inventory and an opportunity to expand international sales - to Europe and Israel, with somewhat of a contact list.
Given the situation, I think it was probably the best move.
Personally, I think SNDL has made some pretty impressive transactions to diversify and get out of the near bankrupt situation tehy were in just a short time ago. Alcanna is cash cow, retail, investments - looking forward to the financials.
