Okanogan site

Extremely, extremely unlikely that the Okanogan site gets sold. Just look at the oversupply and less demand conditions that are decimating the Canadian MJ producers. Read the latest on Aurora Cannabis and you will know. No $hit. There is a reason why the top brass quit. I bet Holler was stubborn with no answers and they decided to pack up and leave.

That is because too few dispensaries. Only 25 dispensaries in Ontario. Mj. companies are pushing for change. On the other hand, dispensaries only open 3 days a week due to short supply via regulated ordering system from mj. providers. Market needs high quality products. Medical use is also just beginning.

Are you saying oversupply is not an issue?
Comment by DIY2018 on Nov 19, 2019 7:51pm
Green houses can not guarantee stable quality of products for medical use. I think most leaves from current green houses will be used in edibles whose market is the largest. Mj. industry is just a beginning

Sorry, but you have evaded answering my question about oversupply of mj in Canada.

The distribution across Canada may look much better in a couple of years, when a glasshouse is ready to produce in B.C.. Also, I agree- medical grade likely requires high standards like cGMP.

@sunrize, I think you’re reasoning here is spot on. The cfo and now president departures are most certainly due to an inability to manage the massive capex and growing opex without the needed funds from this sale. Highly unlikely but if the sale somehow closes, I’d guess it will be amended significantly lower as its currently a free for in the sector with the big guys hemorrhaging money and all ...more

Most likely there will be a merger. CFO did not learn this till he started working. A new management team will take over. That can explain why president also need to go first.
Comment by sunrize on Nov 20, 2019 12:07pm
Not making any sense. Your assertion that CFO did not learn this until he started makes me guess that he didn't know the financial and logistical (power issues) until he started only makes it worse. It means mgmt hid those issues from the CFO. It also means CFO didn't do basic research on this company before accepting or applying for the job. Every one and their dog knew about the ...more

@Benedictus: Barker leaving the Board is extremely disturbing. If he brings a lawsuit on, watch out, as he has deep pockets. Wilkerson leaving really, really shocked me. What in the world is going on at this company? There is no way they can get a remotely equal replacement for Wilkerson. Everything is a black hole with Sunniva right now.
Comment by DIY2018 on Nov 21, 2019 3:19pm
Barker is the landlord. He can not stay in tenant board.  Wilkerson invested a lot in Sunniva. Hope he take the business over. This glass house is like a money printing machine as U.S. is moving forward with mj. legalization at federal level.
Comment by mulletator on Nov 21, 2019 4:21pm
What is going on with managment resigning for "personal reasons"?  First Leith and now WIlkerson, the previous CFO, and Barker.   If it was one guy leaving for "personal reasons" that's kind of sketchy but beliveable.  Three or four guys that are top tier managment?  There is something that they aren't telling us. I'm deep ...more

It is a real company. Landloard built glasshouse only for mj. business. There is a lease agreement. No one builds such a house in the desert without a years gaurantee. The glasshouse should already been operating if not for delay.
Comment by Benedictus on Nov 22, 2019 12:00am
Mullet, I think what they’re not telling us is that management miscalculated on a grand scale and mishandled the financial requirements for such a massive state of the art facility, not accounting for so many delays. Managers are leaving because there’s virtually no revenue and absolutely massive financial demands. The blame for this last year’s hot potato management rests on the shoulders of ...more

So why the hell was Barker on the board to begin with? Makes zero sense. The US is NOT moving forward with legalization. So far, it's just the House making noise. The Senate has done ZILCH with it. Eventually, it will pass (as all things will) but the illegal market is so big and impossible to control that revenues will remain a pie in the sky. Building a huge GH is not the end. They need to ...more

maybe if sb. buys Sunniva and the glasshouse together, then Barker has to leave Sunniva board. Maybe you know these legal stuff? or consult a lawyer?
