I always put a limit sell order in for sometime in the future at a very high price then the brokerage houses cant use my shares for shorting.

Wow. Aren't you the valuable unsung hero in the price war waged every day against SVL stock by evil market manipulators, market makers, the US treasury and any other conspiratorial group that exists in your mind. I bet those 3,000 shares could be used by the conspirators to drive SVL stock down to 52 week lows without your efforts.
