Contact with Almonty?

Has anyone tried to contact Lewis or Almonty by email or phone in the last couple weeks?

Curious to know if anyone has spoken to them or tried and their response time.

I don't think they were involved at PDAC but I'm not certain. Can anyone confirme?

I second that query.  I'm a LB fan and long term investor, but quite concerned that the 21st self imposed deadline came and went last month without any further commentary. Not sure why he painted himself into a corner with that in the first place.  I would of equally been as happy if he said that drawdown would be done by end of July if it comes earlier great... Under promise and ...more

The financing is a 'fait accompli' there are no cold feet to be had by the bank  whois

Exactly right Whois.... I wonder if a Global Recession or Stagflation is a factor which may cause delays. FYI: The delay is on the part of LB as to when he will execute the drawdown. Not the Bank.

This has happened many times in the past when there was a long lull in NRs. The shareholders vent concerne on the board. Then, "BANG" we have things like :- - Korean Govt. footing the bill for power and water installation, plus a multitude of other subsidies. - KIGAM Pilot plant steps in. - Plansee/GTP off take is done. - Permits for the Val Project. - Bank loan approved. and so on.....  ...more

The way I see it lack ot drawdown of funds could be due to 2 possibilities: 1. Waiting for equipment (Mill) to arrive on site (could be stuck in a port) 2. Changes to the project related to the downstream processing plant Recession/Inflation/Stagnation are also in the back of my mind as a cause for the delay but I sincerely hope for all of us that that is not the cause as that would not be good. ...more

Whois I think you are likely correct with either 1 or 2, I believe the mill is due on site between now and mid-July working backwards from when they mentioned a 1-2 month delay in I think it was May. Silver, I hope you are correct with "Some thing is going on in the background, and it might be big ???" My comment on contacting Lewis and or the company wasn't intended as negative ...more

@blueskies years ago I was calling the company regularly but its pretty fruitless as they cannot disclose anything that isnt already public anyway.  For now I honestly trust that they are working deligently to advance the company to production as fast as possible.  I think that the clues are there that this delay will turn out to be for a very good reason. whois

Right..  Although I watch the share price and trading every day and for any news, I have decided lack of an update is not going to change my behaviour or holdings in that it is not likely I am going to sell.. If anything, if I have any cash, I am more likely to add so no point in stressing myself..  So like every one, I await a more regular schedule of updates to be unveiled..  On ...more

1. All the large long term items have no need to be on site until the concrete is layed and the steel works build has started. Better to leave them in Finland storage untill it is done. 2. As I said before, this downstream thing is not an issue for design. It is so small that they could use the KIGAM Pilot plant site and equipment to do the job with a few tweeks. I do not expect this to be the ...more

Ok well then I guess the delay is not related to the delivery of the mill.  The downstream plant is not an issue for design but I guess it could be for other things related to the downstream plant.  New offtaker?  New/additional financing?  I'm at a loss as to what the delay could be about it its none of the above.  I doubt its due to something more sinister as the ...more
