Who would possibly be stupid enough to short the stock to the tune of 482,000+ shares on Oct 31?

Based on a lot of metrics like P/BV and 2026 EPS and PE, you could make the case to short the stock

I'm not shorting the stock just so you know

but as a development company about to come online in Korea all those metrics are in part irrelevant

Not irrelevant. Important data. Almonty is valued at roughly $250 million right now. Forget about the share price. Focus on Market cap. How much is it worth? Also eps of 9 cents for 2026 suggests about $2 upside.

How much is a mine with 80 years of life, and only a partial exploration is worth ?

Good point. You can do a DCF analysis of future earnings to come up with a figure

I would say that all the data is technically relevant, but the ones who have been holding for a long time have a pretty good future value justification in mind. At this point (as has been for the last many years) it's waiting for production, and a few more news releases in the meantime would be nice :)
