INE BLX and ALA

Just to say upside targets are not everything:  ON Thompson ALA is ranked 9 or nearly top to buy now, BLX 5 and INE   2

so risk factors, timliness, dividend are all factors but diversification - sure.    ALA is very timely to buy just now...

John, not sure why you and I are even addressing someone who sold out of ALA and wants to see it drop.
Comment by DreamStock on Mar 17, 2021 3:35pm
he's most likely short and starting to squirm.
Comment by Johnwith30years on Mar 17, 2021 4:14pm
Hi  I don't know about you but I do not want him to mislead others which is why I said that his redcommendations are much more shakey than ALA .
Comment by jeffpei on Mar 17, 2021 4:26pm
Good intentions John!
Comment by Bagofhammers on Mar 17, 2021 8:28pm
I enjoy a good div yield and solid management, therefore I dont invest in QC based companies. (INE, BLX)
Comment by Vega1357 on Mar 18, 2021 10:01am
And there's another key difference, John. ALA is technically overbought while BLX and INE are oversold.
Comment by Johnwith30years on Mar 18, 2021 10:22am
Perhaps  but your timeframes may be much shorter than mine.  And of course a rising stock can stay overbought for long periods of time  especially if an ER come sout and targets get raised..
Comment by Vega1357 on Mar 18, 2021 11:58am
ALA is $20.98 as I write this. Another overbought stock takes a predictable fall. The good news here is that after today's drop ALA is no longer technically overbought.
Comment by Johnwith30years on Mar 18, 2021 1:17pm
But you cannot hav eit both ways BLX is down more than 3.36% more than ALA at the moment anyway end of discussion for me as our timelines are so very different.
Comment by Vega1357 on Mar 19, 2021 2:04pm
I admit that ALA has held up better than either BLX or INE of late, but I'd rather be into renewable energy stocks than carbon stocks like ALA. The day of reckoning is coming for the latter.

coming when when we all dead? Go heat your house with wind. Megas**er1357.

Now Vega that is a comment worthy of a response. Obviously you ar eno longer talking about day trading but longer term considerations.  I think that in a regulated industry you will see costs get reembursed and their will be gradula transitions over the next 3 decades.  So for example enbridge is beginning a project to transport Hydrogen through their pipelines and ALA will get paid by ...more

BLX and INE are strong this morning while ALA is weak. Wait a day and the weather changes. BLX and INE are still strong buys in my book, while ALA not so much.
Comment by Johnwith30years on Mar 22, 2021 10:34am
If you are looking for short term gains try WEF   with home building on the rise in the US and a restored dividend strong upside...

And the strong stocks shall become weak, and the weak strong. Jesus said it in the Beatitudes, didn't he?
Comment by Johnwith30years on Mar 22, 2021 12:13pm
Actually Jesus ( whom I do not think you should quote as an authority on stock choices said:: “The last shall be first and the first last.” Soi given how frquently you suggest you have been first and "great"  and best. suggests that in the end perhaps you will end up with the worst returns not the best...at least that is what is implied by the source you quote.  ...more

LOL. In that regards, ALA had a very good day on Friday but a lousy day today. The opposite was true for INE and BLX. We'll see about my returns for the year, but today has been a very good day for me. The great Vega.
Comment by Vega1357 on Mar 23, 2021 12:04pm
Good morning, Johnwith30. How's your day going? BLX and INE are each having a good day. ALA not so much. There's still plenty of upside to be had on the former two. You too could make money on them as am I. The great Vega.
