NUMBER OF SHIPMENTS   Q1 Q2 RIPET 8 7 FERNDALE 6 8 TOTAL 14 15 Now I have a question.  Crude Oil Tankers are now being loaded at Ferndale.  Does ALA profit in any way from this?

There are two wharfs that come under "Ferndale". Recenty, ships go to both wharfs but the LPG ships (ALA ships) all end up at the Alcoa Intalco wharf.  Marinetraffic website I use.  Alcoa Intalco is listed but no ships ever appear.  Check Ferndale and if its a LPG ship, it will probably end up at Alcoa Intalco which is ALA. Crude ships go to the other wharf, Phillips 66 ...more

Higher EBIDTA?  Oh yes on a comparison with last years same quarter earnings will show substantial improvement. But we know it is one of their two soft quarters. They are using a shipping strategy whereby they will load at whatever terminal makes more for them at a given time. So it is the total shipments up about 10% to be considered.  When the price of natural gas has risen so much ...more

Of course EBITDA for the Q2 2021 will be higher than last year and Petrogas acquisition is a big factor. However on the gas purchase,we know that they are buying Natural gas from Birchciff : From a note of Birchliff received in May: «We process roughly 30% of our gas through the AltaGas plant at Gordondale...» In a way we know that Birchcliff has not hedge any of it's production and ...more
