There is a lot of uncertainty in the markets, central bankers are in a bad spot, they can't keep printing money. Trudeau believes there isn't any consequences for printing. Gold is down, with the entire market, I find it hard to believe we'll see interest rates equal to or above inflation. The question is which companies will grow atleast the rate of inflation?

Yes indeed.  A very brutal day for some ALA investors who sold out in a panick this morning.   I try not to let fear creep into my head and reflect on the soundess of their business model.   WGL customers are not about to shut off their gas and electricity anytime soon and the Asian markets still cook with propane. The question is, if inflation is running @ 6.5% , ala can they grow at the same pace or higher than 6.5%?

If ALA was a customer your concern might be valid however they are not a  customer which is buying but a company who is selling a commodity to customers. In this sense I think they are in the same boat as all utilities.   To maintain their profit margins,  they will have to go to the Regulators and ask for price hikes. Technically, they run cost of service business, so inflation is passed to the customers through rates.
