JP Morgan - Metals should do well but not Gold

JP Morgan speculating that Metals sector will do well in 2022 but Gold will head lower. Bold call at this point with all the uncertainty around the Omicron variant. Running rampant in Canada right now but it appears lockdowns are not of the order. At some point we will have to rely on the vaccines and I am sure there will be many more new vaccines released to help combat hospitalizations. Stay safe.

I wonder how inflation will hit the bottom line. Capital projects in particular and what effect it will have on future projects. Argonaut Gold for example got it with huge capital increases at their Marino project. Equinox also is just starting ground breaking at a new site. Sorry I know these are both gold mines but I would expect similar for copper projects. So either copper prices will have to ...more
