Wayne, the only way averaging down doesn't work out is if the stock is in a death sprial.  Otherwise, if you buy lower than your average basis you have now lowered your average basis and when the stock recovers you are now ahead of the game. Of course, this only applies to long term investors.  Flippers can get burned if they try to catch a falling knife.

Wayne, I don't think his handlers will tell him to raise rates. With 25-30 trillion in debt the interest would become too much to handle. He will continue his "transitory" garbage citing lumber prices coming down and supply chain problems blah blah blah. Very familiar with the book and have read part of it - it is very long.  I once saw a high school kid at the airport reading it, put a smile on my face as it makes me think that there ia actually hope for future generations.
