Only 30% of outstanding shares voted in favour of merger

Not a lot of conviction from shareholders on this one.

If GCM is interested in South American gold projects, they should go pick off GPL since they can pick up Tucano for literally a song.  It would make a nice partner to Toroparu on the Guyana Goldshield.  Once gold establishes $2k as a floor you won't get too many pennies-on-the-dollar opportunities in the gold sphere.

Well, but that doesn't mean that the other 70% would be against the merger. They just did not participate as most of investors.

It's because most retail investors don't bother voting. This stock is held by a lot of small investors at the moment. Hoping they all make some money soon. It's not necessarily a bad thing, I remember when RNX, now KRR, had a similar share structure and that was a winner.

Over 97% voted in favor. That's conviction. If you didn't vote than you agree with managements decision to merge with Aris Gold. What's not to like about this merger? It couldn't be any better, it's a symbiotic relationship with more cash flow and increased resources.
