Reading buzz about China sniffing around Peruvian copper sites to feed their smelters. Canariaco is a target and with the new port in the north, plus the ramp up of infrastructure projects in the key area, there is no time like the present.

Fortescue may not be the only option for Alta Copper as there is some German influence also making inquiries. Maybe a joint venture, but knowing Fortescue, they will want it all to themselves.
